Construction of Dakshineswar Kali Temple
The construction of this temple of Maa Kali is said to have begun in 1847. Which was built by Rani Rasmani, the landowner of Jan Bazar. It is said that in the dream of Rani Rasmani, mother Kali appeared and asked that a temple be built in her name. The queen then built the Dakshineswar temple with great fervor celebrating her mother.
