Gangaur Teej is considered a special festival of Hindus which is celebrated every year on Tritiya i.e. Teej Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Chaitra month of Hindu calendar, Gangaur Teej is known as Saubhagya Teej. It is believed that married women keep a vow to fulfill their wishes and worship Goddess Ganga. Also on this special day, unmarried girls also wish for their better spouse. What is Gangaur Teej fast and its worship method

The fast of Gangaur Teej falls on the Tritiya Tithi of the Shukla Paksha of Chaitra month, so the devotees who keep fast on this day should take a bath before sunrise on that day. On this day, Mata Parvati is worshiped as Gangaur Mata, and the sorbet that was planted in the east is worshiped as Isar i.e. Shiva. Also, the women who observe the fast offer all the ingredients of Suhag to Mata Gangaur. In Gangaur Teej the mother should be offered vermilion by women to the worshiper and then after that fill her demand daily from the same vermilion, as it is believed that by doing this she is always happy. Whereas girls who are unmarried can also pray to Gauri Mata for their good and happy life and keep their blessings by keeping a fast of Gauri Teej. Fasting of Gangaur Teej is followed by women fasting without telling their husbands.

Know the story of Gangaur Teej

According to mythology, on the Tritiya Tithi of the Shukla Paksha of Chaitra month, once Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati, along with Narada Muni, came to roam the earth. In this way, he went to one of the villages while walking on the earth. In this way, hearing the news of his arrival, all the villagers started making preparations to welcome him. On the other hand, there was a smell of cooking delicious food from big houses. But before the women of the big houses reach there with delicious food, the women of poor families reach God with their reverence. In this way, Maa Parvati becomes very happy on seeing their devotion and sprinkles honey on them.

In this way, when the women of the noble houses arrived with various sweets and dishes, Mother Parvati had nothing left to give them, in this way Lord Shiva says to Parvati ji, you gave all your blessings to those poor women. Now what blessings will be given to them? So Mata Parvati says that whoever has come here with true feelings will splatter this special honeymoon and it will become good luck. In this way, then Goddess Parvati sprinkled some of her blood which came with true devotion, she became a good fortune. But the women who came just for their greed and greed had to return empty handed with a disappointed heart.
