History of temple
The Ranakpur Jain Temple was built by Rana Kumbha in the 15th century. This temple was built during the reign of Rana Kumbha, hence it was named Ranakpur. This temple dedicated to Rishabhdev is quite ancient. The construction work of this temple is said to have begun in 1446 Vikram Samvat. Which lasted more than 50 years. The grandeur of the temple puts everyone in wonder. 99 lakh rupees were spent in the construction of this temple.

This temple has four entrances. The main planet has four huge marble statues of Tirthankara Adinath. Which is 72 inches high. These four idols are oriented towards different directions. That is why it has been called the Chaturmukh Temple. The temple has hundreds of pillars of prominent feature. Whose number is around 1444. The temple is carved with great beauty. There are 76 small big domes in the temple. Also four big prayer halls and four big places of worship are also located in the temple.
The makers of the temple have built some such cellars in the temple. In which the holy idol can be kept safe during the time of crisis. To the north of the temple is the Rayan tree and the marble pieces also bear the footprints of Lord Rishabhdev. Two temples of Neminath and Parshvanath ji are also installed in the premises of Ranakpur Jain temple. Those have been carved very amazingly. A temple of Maa Ambe is also built here. Which is located at a distance of 1 km from the Jain temple.
