Rang Panchami is a Hindu festival celebrated five days after the colorful festival of Holi. It is celebrated on the fifth day of the Krishna Paksha during the Falgun month of the Hindu calendar while in the Gregorian calendar it falls in the months of February-March. Rang Panchami is also celebrated in a colorful way.
The word 'Rang' denotes 'Rang', while Panchami refers to the 5th day and hence Holi is played on Rang Panchami, in some places across the country.
