The full moon that falls in the month of Shravan is called Shravan Purnima. The full moon has special significance in the Hindu calendar. Most of the festivals are based on the full moon. The festival of Raksha Bandhan is celebrated on the day of Shravan Purnima. This day is celebrated as Kajari Purnima in central and northern India with great pomp and show. On this day, bathing, austerity and donations are liberated from Chandradosh. Yajnopavit Pujan and Upanayan rites are also performed on this day.

Method

Bathing, charity and fasting are considered very important in Shravan Purnima. In such a situation, all your religious works can be made meaningful by using the right method. This method is -

 Step- 1 Get up early in the morning and bathe first and worship God after that.

Step- 2 brother should tie the kept sutra.

Step- 3 Do not eat anything before tying the Raksha sutra.

Step-4 Offer the ancestors

Step 5: Cows, ants and fish should be eaten.

Step 6: Worship Lord Vishnu and Lakshmi.

Importance

The importance of Shravan Purnima is different at different places. At some places it is bestowed as Rakshabandhan and elsewhere as Avani Avittam. In some places, it is considered as Kajri Poonam and in some places it is considered as a sacred ritual. Its importance is both religious and cultural. Fasting is also observed on this day.

Occasion

The Amarnath Yatra that begins in Ashada ends on this day. Not only this, the Kavad Yatra ends by paying water on the Shivling on the day of Shravanapurnima. On Rakshabandhan, a big event is organized all over the country on this day. On this day, the sisters tie a rakhi on the brother's wrist for their protection and receive blessings. Siblings pledge to protect her.

Kajari poornima

Shravan Purnima is celebrated as Kajari Purnima in Central India and North India. This year is specially kept for the son. On this day, fasting for the son is fast accepted. Mothers observe this fast for the long life and happiness of their son. The day of Navami has special significance. On this day, soil is first poured in a vessel made of tree leaves and then jauko is sown in it. On the full moon, the characters in which barley was sown are immersed in the river.

Story line

There are many stories on Shravan Poornima, but the most important story is of a king Tungadhvaja who ruled a kingdom in ancient times. Due to efficient rule for a long time, the king became proud of himself. He did not give much importance to the worship text. On this day he insulted the worship of Bhagwan. Like other kings, Tungadhwaj too was very fond of hunting. One day he went to Shikar. He was very tired due to hunting in the forest for a long time. The king tired and started resting under the banyan tree near Jagal. Some people are engrossed in worshiping Lord Satyanarayana when they saw their eyes open. Despite this, the king did not bow down to Satyanarayana and refused to receive the prasad. When the king returned to his kingdom, he saw that the neighboring kings had attacked him. The king immediately realized that this was the result of disrespecting God. The king went back to the same place and apologized for his mistake. Upon truly apologizing, God forgave them and the king's kingdom was restored as before.
