Vinayaka Chaturthi is a festival celebrated on the birthday of Lord Ganesha, the God of knowledge, wealth and good fortune. Method of worship of Vinayaka Chaturthi:
On this day, the devotees should wake up early in the morning and take a bath. After this, meditate on Lord Ganesha. Use Kumkum, Akshat, Turmeric, Mehndi, Sindoor, Dhup, Deep in their worship. Reciting Ganapati Strotra on this day is also considered very auspicious. Offer modak ladoos to Ganesha. If you wish, you can also offer Durva as a Prasad. Read the story of Ganesha by lighting incense and lamps. Then perform aarti and distribute the offerings made to God. In the evening, bathe once more and duly worship Lord Ganesha. And open the fast the next day.
