On this Ekadashi, lord Vishnu who holds the conch wheel is worshipped on the fast of this Ekadashi. The effects of observing the Kamika Ekadashi fast also remove the problem of your rebirth. The process and Puja method of Kamika Ekadashi-

By observing the Kamika Ekadashi all sins are destroyed. All kinds of happiness and prosperity come into your house.

Following are the methods and process which should be followed by by the people who are observing this fast-

Step 1- get up in the Brahma muhurtham in the morning and take the resolution of the fast after the bath.

Step 2- after the bath you must worship Lord Vishnu.

step 3- offer milk fruits flowers, Panchamrit ,sesame to Lord Vishnu.

Step 4- on the day of Kamika Ekadashi you must reminisce Shri Hari Vishnu.

Step 5- offer food to the Brahmins on the next day and donate something to them. After that only you should consume your food.

Things that should be avoided during the fast-

- Consumption of rice and things made from it is prohibited.

- do not consume any kind of neat alcohol etc. A person who keeps this fast should renounce meat even or normal days but especially on the day of fasting.

- You should not be angry in any situation and keep control over your speech.

- You should stay awake during the night it as it is considered to be beneficial.

Mythology

There is no such legendary story behind chemical Ekadashi but its importance has been discussed many times. Kunti son dharma raja Yudhisthira said to Shri Krishna- 'O madhav tell me in detail the story of Kamika Ekadashi of the Krishna Paksha of Shravan month." to this Shri Krishna said," the holy story of Kamika Ekadashi is told by Brahma ji told to Narada for the public interest that listening to the story of Kamika Ekadashi you will attain the fruits of Vajpayee Yagya. On this day Shri Hari Narayan is worshipped. The fruits which are obtained by bathing in the Solar eclipse, lunar eclipse or in the Kurukshetra, the same fruits are obtained by worshipping Shri Narayana on this Ekadashi. In order to get rid of One's sins, everyone must observe this fast of Kamika Ekadashi. Sri Hari himself told that by observing this fast, the people will only take birth in the human Yoni. Offering Tulsi to Lord Vishnu results in Virtuous fruits on this Ekadashi.
