Reciting 'Matsya Purana' and 'Vishnu Sahasranama' is also considered very auspicious. Donating on the day of Matsya Jayanti is highly beneficial. On this day, devotees should donate food, clothing or money to the Brahmins and distribute it to the poor and needy. They benefit greatly by doing so.
