Saraswati Puja is celebrated twice a year - one in September / October on Navratri festival days and the other in Vasant Panchami on January / February. Saraswati Puja is celebrated all over India during Vasant Panchami and both are quite popular.

Yellow has special significance on this day and people usually wear yellow clothes and also make colorful sweets. The girls also wear bright yellow clothes and offer sweets, fruits, roli, molly and yellow flowers to Goddess Saraswati. Cultural programs are organized at night.
