Subhash Chandra Bose

Subhash Chandra Bose was a great Indian nationalist. People still love the things they have done for their country. He was born on 23 January 1897. He fought valiantly against British rule and was instrumental in securing independence. Hence every year 23 January is celebrated as Subhash Chandra Bose Jayanti.

Subhash Chandra Bose's contribution to Indian independence

Subhash Chandra Bose's involvement began with the Civil Disobedience Movement. From this, Subhash Chandra Bose became a part of the Indian independence movement. He became a member of the Indian National Congress (INC). Also, in 1939 he became the party president. However, he resigned from this post soon.

The British put Subhash Chandra Bose under house arrest. The reason for this was his opposition to British rule. However, due to his cleverness, he secretly left the country in 1941. He then went to Europe to ask for help to fight against the British. He sought help from the Russians and the Germans against the British.

Subhash Chandra Bose went to Japan in 1943. Where the Japanese agreed to his appeal for help. Subhash Chandra Bose formed the Indian National Army in Japan. He formed a provisional government. The Axis powers certainly recognized this provisional government during World War II.

The Indian National Army attacked the north-eastern parts of India. The attack took place under the leadership of Subhash Chandra Bose. At the same time, the INA was successful in capturing some parts. Unfortunately, the INA had to surrender due to weather and Japanese policies. However, Bose refused to surrender. He escaped in a plane but the plane likely crashed. For this reason, it is believed that Subhash Chandra Bose died on 18 August 1945 but could not be confirmed yet.

Ideology of Subhash Chandra Bose

Subhash Chandra Bose strongly supported the complete independence of India. In contrast, the Congress Committee initially wanted independence in stages through Dominion status. Bose was elected President of the Congress for two consecutive terms. But due to his ideological conflict with Gandhi and the Congress, Bose resigned. Bose was against Mahatma Gandhi's approach to non-violence. Subhash Chandra Bose was a supporter of violent resistance.

Subhash Chandra Bose saw the Second World War as a great opportunity. He also saw this as an opportunity to take advantage of the British weakness.
