Magha Purnima has its own special significance. Magha Purnima falls on the month of Magha. Its importance is also high because the baking that begins in the month of Pausha and in the Purnima of magh month. This day is the day of receiving the fruits of religious activities. On this day if you observe the fast and Bade and make a donation then you shall attain the fruits according to your desires. The devotees who do Kalpavas in the Prayag end their Kalpavas by bathing in Triveni on this day. According to the Hindu panchaag Lord Mahadev is placed with those who take a bath on this day and he blesses with him with happiness and prosperity as well as with wealth. This Bath must be taken in order to attain salvation.

The Puja method of Magha Purnima-
Baby donations and fasting can be made meaningful by following the right methods of the Magha Purnima which ends the Kalpavas.
Following are its steps-
Step 1- you must take a bath before the sunrise on this day.
Step 2- offer arghya to Sun god and while offering you must ant the Surya Mantra.
Step 3- after offering arghya to the Sun god you must make the resolution of the fast.
Step 4- those observing the fast should worship Lord Madhusudan.
Step 5- you must feed a Brahmin or a hungry person in the afternoon and donate them.
The significance of Magha Purnima-
The Magha Purnima is very important. Its importance get increased even more if it has Pausha Nakshatra on this day. It is believed that on this day the arrival of Devtas takes place on Earth and they take a bath in the Prayag. This is the reason by taking a bath in the Prayag means taking a bath with the Gods. In order to attain salvation and fulfill your desires, the Ganga bath is considered to be very important.

The story of Magha Purnima-
According to the mythological beliefs, a Brahmin named Subhrat word resided on the banks of Narmada. There was so much greed inside the scholarly Brahmin. Due to this habit, he left all his work and started spending his old life just to earn money. Then came a time when he was very sick. At the last moment of his life he regretted his mistake and now he was looking ways to attain salvation. Being a scholar he was aware of the importance of Magha Purnima. So he started worshipping near the banks of Narmada and asked God for his forgiveness. Nine days after the Kalpavas he became sicker and started counting his last breath. He had realized that he would now be come and enjoy of the hell because he wasted his whole life.
